Investor and Retired Fortune 500 executive. Formal education in Economics and Investment Finance, with over 30 years of professional experience in the capital/financial services market, including more than 10 years as a CEO. Recently CEO of a financial services company with over $1 billion of invested financial assets. Privately, my investment focus is Real Estate, where my annual after-tax return on invested equity has averaged about 23% over the last 25 years.

Full recognition of the problem is the first step toward a successful solution.
We must wake up and recognize the serious and widespread nature of this danger. To pretend otherwise is pure foolishness.
I agree with your assessment, Zephyr. And I also agree that it's critical to recognize the problem: that's a crucial first step toward a possible solution.
On the other hand, I'm not so sure there's a solution -- at least not one that will leave both sides standing.
